The women's bowling team placed 8th out of 14 teams at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic. As a team, the Vikings tallied a combined 7,993 total pins and had a high game of 961 and a high series of 2,705 during the two-day tournament.
Kyla Day finished 5th overall with 1,053 total pins in her five games with a 262 high game and a 559 high series. Day's high game of 262 was the third-best high game among all the participants in the tournament.
Shannon Bristol placed inside the top-25 with 935 total pins in five games and finished with a high game of 243 and a high series 589. Megan Gaige knocked down 889 pins in her five games and had a high game of 218 and a 546 high series.
Gina Patricelli bowled 838 total pins with a high game of 187 and a high series of 549. Kaylie Hull and Breanna Mysliwiec rounds out the remaining Vikings bowlers. Hull finished with 589 total pins with a 172 high game and a high series of 462. Mysliwiec bowled one match and finished with a high game of 210.
Wright State's Tori Pappas won the individual championship with 1,088 pins with a 228 high game and a 677 high series. Wright State also took the overall team title with 9,231 total pins.
The women's bowling team is back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 17 with a conference match at Schenectady County Community College at 1 p.m.
