The Hudson Valley Community College women's bowling team finished first out of eight teams at the Schenectady County Community College Invitational on Sunday. It was the sixth straight tournament win for the Lady Vikings. Meanwhile, the men finished second out of 11 teams.
Hudson Valley's women finished with 8,547 pins, outdistancing second place Shippensburg University by 213 pins. Freshman Katelyn Hallenbeck (East Greenbush/Columbia High School) led the Lady Vikings with a 1,679 pinfall total.
Hudson Valley's men finished with a pinfall total of 9580, which was 130 pins behind first place Rochester Institute of Technology. Sophomore Dan Rowe (Wynantskill/Columbia High School) finished firth in the All-Events results with 1,740 pins.
