Women's Basketball Wins at Mohawk Valley

The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team improved to 11-8 on the year after defeating Mohawk Valley on the road 87-61 on Saturday afternoon in Utica, NY. 

Junasia Lanier had a huge game for the Vikings as she finished with 20 points with eight field goals made, including a pair of three-point field goals. Kat Stackrow also helped the Vikings in its win over the Hawks with 21 points with nine field goals made, while Nya Ewans-Edmonds finished with a team-high 22 points on 10 field goals and a pair of free throws made. 

The win gives Hudson Valley an 8-8 record in the NJCAA Region 3 standings, where they currently site in eighth place. They are set to close out the regular season home schedule on Monday, February 14, when they welcome North Country to the McDonough Sports Complex at 5 p.m.
