The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball completed the weekend sweep with a 72-67 win over the Corning Red Barons on Sunday afternoon in Corning, NY.

The Vikings led for the majority of the game, but fell behind late in the third quarter and trailed Corning 55-50 at the start of the fourth. Hudson Valley utilized a fourth quarter rally for the second consecutive game and outscored the Red Barons 22-12 to secure the win.

The Vikings women's basketball program earned a 2-0 weekend against Finger Lakes and Corning for the first time in seven years when the program swept the Lakers and Red Barons weekend series in 2014.

Nya Ewans-Edmonds led the Vikings with 26 points and Kathryn Stackrow tallied 19 total points, which led the Vikings to victory.

The Vikings are off through the Thanksgiving break and will return to action on Tuesday, Nov. 30 when they travel to take on Springfield Tech. The game is scheduled for a 5 p.m. start in Springfield, Mass.
