Women's Basketball Defeated by Jefferson

The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team was defeated on the road 76-35 to a tough Jefferson program on Sunday afternoon in Watertown, NY. 

The Vikings leading scoring for the game was Hailey Cascioli, who finished the game with 11 points on 2-of-9 shooting, including 6-of-9 from the free throw line. Cascioli also grabbed four rebounds and caused a pair of turnovers with her two steals. 

Nya Ewans-Edmonds shot 3-of-12 from the floor for 8 points, including 2-of-6 from the free throw line to go with her four rebounds, and two steals. 

Jefferson had a balanced attack with four Cannoneers scoring in double-figures. They were led by Jessica Harris, who shot 7-of-12 from the floor for 14 points. 

The women's basketball team is back home this week as they take on Adirondack at 5 p.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
