The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team was defeated on the road 96-38 against Herkimer College on Saturday afternoon in Herkimer, NY.

The short-handed Vikings were held in check with four earning field goals in the tough loss against a full Herkimer squad. The Vikings were led by Nya Ewans-Edmonds, who finished with a team-high 18 points. Ewans-Edmonds scored 13 of her 18 points in the second half of the game. 

Kathryn Stackrow also scored in double-figures as she posted 11 points, with all but one coming in the first half of the game. 

The women's basketball program returns to action tomorrow as they travel to take on Jefferson in Watertown, NY. Tip is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start against a historically tough women's basketball program in the Cannoneers.
