Women's Basketball Wins Decisively over Ulster

The Hudson Valley women's basketball team won their second straight game of the weekend after defeating Ulster 70-19 on the road on Sunday afternoon. 

For the second straight game, the Vikings had four individuals surpass double-digit scoring and were led once again by freshman Emily Erickson. Erickson finished the game with a game-high 15 points on six field goals, including three from behind the arc. 

Zakiyah Haque had a big game for the Vikings as she recorded a career-high 12 points, which came from four three-point field goals.  

Grace VanRoy and Anna VanRoy also reached double-digit scoring in back-to-back games this weekend. Grace scored 13 points and Anna finished the game with 10 points.

The women's basketball team returns to action one more time before the winter break. The Vikings are scheduled to travel to Springfield Tech on Thursday, Dec. 12 with a 5 p.m. start time.
