The Hudson Valley women's basketball team (19-6) lost a season-high third straight game after they were defeated 61-56 on the road at Fulton-Montgomery on Wednesday evening.

Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) led the Vikings with 20 points and nine rebounds on 7-for-14 shooting, including 2-for-5 from behind the arc. Graber has now recorded three 20-point games this season.

Malainah Elliott (Utica/Thomas R. Proctor) finished the game with 13 points and four rebounds and Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) tallied 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Fulton-Montgomery jumped out early on the Vikings and took a double-digit lead, 18-6, following the opening quarter. The Raiders slowed in the second quarter and the Vikings outscored Fulton-Montgomery 17-11 and entered the half trailing 29-23.

Hudson Valley couldn't overcome the halftime deficit, despite putting 21 points on the board in the fourth quarter as the Raiders continued to answer Hudson Valley's offensive runs.

Hudson Valley's postseason fate will be decided late Saturday evening when the NJCAA Region 3 rankings are finalized. The Vikings are currently ranked fifth in the overall standings and if the standings stay the same, they will travel to the No. 4 seed. Fulton-Montgomery and Jefferson are currently tied with a Region 3 record of 12-5.
