Women's Basketball Explodes for 100 Points in Win

Hudson Valley's women's basketball team (8-3) outscored Schenectady 49-23 in the first half and hit 13 three-point field goals on their way to defeating the Royals 100-62 for their second straight win. 

Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) scored a game-high 27 points as she guided the Vikings offense to its largest output of the season. For the second straight day, Kreiger connected on six three-point field goals from behind the arc. She jumped out to a quick start by scoring 10 points in the first quarter of the game. 

Madison Graber (Schenectady/Schalmont) found her rhythm in the second half as she scored 12 of her 18 points after halftime. Graber hit eight field goals, including two from behind the arc.

Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central), Hayley Jones (Catskill/Catskill) and Caitlin Estes (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville) all reached double-digit scoring and combined for 37 points. Jones and Engster each finished with 10 points and Estes finished with 17 points. 

Hudson Valley is on the road this Tuesday, December 11 as they travel to play Kingsborough at 6 p.m.
