Henderson Leads Women's Basketball in 76-70 Win

Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball (3-1) won their second straight game after defeating Adirondack 76-70 on Wednesday night at the McDonough Sports Complex.
Cameran Henderson (Green Island/Heatly) led the Vikings with 15 points and Taylor Engster (Troy/Catholic Central) added 14 points as each played vital roles tonight to help the Vikings weather a late fourth quarter attack by Adirondack. The duo of Henderson and Engster played their best basketball when the team needed it the most, scoring 19 of their combined 29 points in the second half of the game.
Hannah Kreiger (Brunswick/Tamarac) reached double-digit scoring for the third time this season with 10 points on the night, including a pair of 3-point field goals.
Adirondack's trio of Kaicey Sardina, Brianna McKinney and Kylee Brand combined for 55 of the team's 70 points.
The Vikings are on the road this Sunday, Nov. 18 to face Kingsborough at 1 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 19 at Schenectady at 1 p.m. The women's program is back home on Tuesday, Nov. 28 to face Monroe College at 6 p.m.
