Men's Soccer Falls to Onondaga

The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team dropped a tough match 5-0 to Onondaga Community College on Friday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.

The Vikings and the Lazers played tough for the first half of the game, playing to a draw at the halftime break. Aiden Travers and the Vikings defense made several tremendous saves and well-timed defensive stops to earn the scoreless status.

Less than three minutes into the second half, the Onondaga men's team broke through for the score and gave the Lazers a 1-0 lead. The Lazers found the back of the net once again, nearly 10 minutes after its first goal, and extended its lead over the Vikings. Onondaga, the third ranked team amongst Region 3, later added another three of scores to secure the road win.

The men's program is now on the road for the remainder of the season and they will begin with a road match on Wednesday, October 13 when they travel south to take on Dutchess Community College at 4 p.m. in Poughkeepsie, NY.
