Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer (5-4-1) dropped their second straight match as they were defeated by Bergen 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.

Overall, the match was a hard-fought game between two evenly matched programs. Bergen was able to get on the board early in the first half as they scored about five minutes in to the match for the 1-0 lead. 

The Vikings were unable to come up with the equalizer and Bergen kept them off the board, securing the shutout win. Bergen managed to sneak in one more goal with a second remaining on the clock, which gave them the 2-0 victory. 

The men's soccer team is back in action tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 29 as they travel to take on a quality Broome program at 3 p.m. in Binghamton, NY.
