The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team (8-6) was defeated 6-1 at Onondaga on Saturday afternoon.
The men's soccer team trailed 1-0 at the half before the Onondaga Lazers exploded for five more goals in the second half, giving the Vikings their second consecutive loss. Onondaga's Nick Bitz scored three times and Abdi Maaolo added two goals in Saturday's win.
Sophomore Ryan Euell (Rhinebeck/Rhinebeck) found the back of the net for the Vikings in the second half for his 10th goal of the season, tying him for the team lead with Garrett Axtmann (Castleton/Maple Hill). Kevin Granados (Glen Cove/Glen Cove) started in goal for the Vikings and recorded 12 saves.
Men's soccer returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 17 when they travel to face Bergen following the women's soccer match around 3:00 p.m.
