Garrett Axtmann (Castleton/Maple Hill) scored on the first penalty kick at the 23:00 mark and Ethan Thomas (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) followed up with a successful penalty kick with under three minutes remaining in the first half.

Jamestown pulled within a goal of the Vikings when Jackson Rybicki scored on a set play at the 7:57 mark in the second half but Hudson Valley responded to regain a two-goal advantage when Carl Kernochan (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) sent a pass from Axtmann to the back of the net to give the Vikings a 3-1 lead at the 54:56 mark.
