Men's Soccer Extends Win Streak to Four

The Hudson Valley Community College men's soccer team won its fourth consecutive shutout victory today after defeating Corning 4-0 in Troy, NY.

The Vikings offense showed up once again scoring twice in each half on Saturday afternoon. Ryan Euell (Rhinebeck/Rhinebeck) scored twice for the Vikings to increase his team lead to four goals on the season. Garrett Axtmann (Castleton/Maple Hill) and Carl Kernochan (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa) also scored in today's victory for Hudson Valley. Axtmann joins Euell with four goals this season, with his four goals scored in the last two games.

The Hudson Valley defense has continued its tremendous play all season long as the Vikings defense secured its fourth straight shutout win this season. The Vikings have outscored their opponents 13-0 during the current streak. The defense has now held their opponents scoreless in over 360 minutes of play. 

The Vikings are on the road next Wednesday, Sept. 20 when they travel to face Mohawk-Valley with a 4 p.m. scheduled start.
