Golf Placed Third at TC3 Invitational

The Hudson Valley Community College men's golf team teed off the 2024 season today as they competed at the TC3 Panthers Invitational at Elm Tree Golf Course on Friday afternoon in Cortland, NY.

As a team, the men scored a best-four team score of 340, which placed them third overall and were paced by Jonathan Reynolds, who posted an 81 (+10) on the Par 71 course.

Joining Reynolds, Hudson Valley had three other individuals shoot under a 90, which is the average cutoff to qualify for the Region 3 tournament, were Joshua Carr, who recorded an 82 on the day. Owen Hampson and Cameron France were also under a 90 with Hampson recording an 88 and France tallied an 89 on the day.

Rounding out the team scoring was Josiah Howard and Matthew Valoze, who each recorded a 94. Nevin Wilkie competed as an individual and had a nice day, finishing the round with a final score of 89.

Tomorrow's Onondaga's tournament was postponed due to poor weather and wet conditions on the course. It has been rescheduled for Sunday, May 5th. The next tournament for the golf team will be the Hudson Valley Invitational, hosted by the Vikings at Normanside Country Club in Delmar, NY.
