Hudson Valley Community College's men's golf student-athlete, Lane Jenkins, participated in the opening round of the 2023 NJCAA Division III National Championships on Tuesday at the Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, NY.

At the end of the day, Jenkins shot a 74 (+2) and sits tied for fifth place on the individual standings. Jenkins started off strong, shooting a 33 in the front nine, which was second best among all of the competitors. He later shot a 41 on the back nine to close out the opening round.

He is back in action on Wednesday, June 7 for day two of the four-day tournament at the par-72 championship course.
