The Hudson Valley Community College men's and women's golf programs closed out the NJCAA Region 3 Championships in good form as the men's team finished third, just one stroke behind second place, with a two-day team score of 671 and Lane Jenkins placed second overall with a final score of 152 (71-81).
On day two, all four Vikings shot in the 80s with Jenkins leading the way with an 81. Markham Daly shot an 83 and finished the two-day tournament with a 171. Sam Fair finished the second day with an 86 and totaled a 166. Devin Gilbert rounds out the team scoring as he improved upon his opening day round (93) and shot an 89 and ended with an accumulated score of 182.
Lane Jenkins is in line to claim one of the five individual qualifying spots in the 2023 NJCAA National Championships following his second-place finish in the Region 3 tournament. The NJCAA National Championships is set to take place on June 5th-9th in Chautauqua, NY.
