Chris Claus enters his third season as an assistant coach for the men's and women's bowling program at Hudson Valley. 

In 2019-20, Coach Claus and the Vikings coaching staff guided he men's bowling team to the NJCAA Region 3 Championship for the first time since 2012 after edging out Erie to claim the program's eighth regional championship in Utica, NY. 

Claus has been bowling for over 30 years, beginning at the age of eight. He later won the 1988-89 Troy Bowling Association City Tournament Doubles. Claus also served on the board of directors for the Association for 14 years from 1989-2003 and later rejoined the board of directors in 2018 and continues to serve today. 

Chris also coached the Green Island Junior Bowling program from 1987-1998, the Hometown Junior Bowling program from 2013-2017 andthe Hometown Girls Travel League from 2014-2017, which produced numerous collegiate bowlers at the Divison I and Division III levels. 

In 2016, Coach Claus was inducted into the Troy Bowling Assoication Hall of Fame.
