Bowling Regional and Conference Accolades Announced

The Hudson Valley Community College bowling program garnered individual Regional and Conference accolades for their overall success during the 2022-23 bowling season.
As a team, the bowling program placed runner up at the Region 3 Championships on Feb. 18 in Rome, NY. Willis Bickford won the singles championship with a score of 853 and was named to the Region 3 First Team following his second-place finish in the overall standings.
Parker Brown also was named to the NJCAA Region 3 First Team following a tremendous singles portion of the tournament, which he placed third with 835 pins and fourth in the overall standings with a score of 1,647.
Following the conference season, Brown was named the Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year after the Vikings claimed their 24th conference team championship. Brown averaged 225.9 per game over the course of the conference season. Bickford was runner up in the conference standings as he finished with an average score of 223.5 and was named to the All-Conference First Team.
Sean Howlan placed fifth overall in the conference standings, which earned him a place on the All-Conference First Team as he averaged 214.7. Joseph Minehan earned second team honors with a ninth-place finish in the overall conference standings, averaging 206.6 per game.
Vikings head coach, Catie Bell, was named the Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year in recognition of the program's overall success this season.
