The men's bowling team had a successful run on the lanes at Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady as they competed in the Schenectady Invitational and the Boulevard Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Highlighting the Vikings program at Saturday's Schenectady Invitational was Parker Brown. Brown had a great day on the lanes, shooting 1,110 for five games, averaging 222 per game. Brown's score placed him fourth in the all-events standings. Willis Bickford also had a great day with an overall series score of 1,071 and placed seventh overall in the all-events standings. Erin McCart and Isabella Guyer struggled a little in the early frames but recovered nicely to finish strong. McCart placed 29th overall with a 877 score and Guyer placed 48th overall with a 803 pin total. The team placed ninth with a score of 3,831.

Recapping Sunday's Boulevard Invitational, the lane pattern was a little tougher than the previous day's events. McCart bowled a 886 over the course of the five-game series. Brown finished with a 936 and Bickford bowled a 1,060 overall to place in ninth place. The team placed eighth overall with a score of 2,882.

The bowling team returns to action this Tuesday, February 8 as the Vikings host its annual Mountain Valley Conference match at the East Greenbush Lanes for a noon start.
