The Hudson Valley Community College bowling continued its opening weekend with a road match, the Westchester Invitational, in Carmel, NY,

The Vikings competed once again with three bowlers and had an amazing experience, embracing the short-handed role! Erin McCart, Parker Brown and Willis Bickford bowled very well together finishing the Invitational in second place, and beat a full team with four bowlers. 

The Vikings had its doubles team pairing of Brown and Bickford, who finished third with a score of 1229. McCart had high game of 242 and Bickford had high 6-game series of 1354, which landed him on the all events team in second place overall, averaging 225.7. Bickford also finished third for singles on the 35-foot pattern and it wasn't easy to navigate once the lanes started to break down.

The Vikings return to the lanes on Saturday, February 5 when they travel to participate in the Schenectady Invitational.
