FINAL RESULTS (Men/Women)

The Hudson Valley men's and women's bowling programs closed out the final day of the NJCAA National Championship tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Airport Lanes in Cheektowaga, NY.

The men's program placed seventh out of 22 qualifying institutions and finished ahead of fellow Region 3 opponents in Herkimer, Erie, Mohawk Valley, Corning and Schenectady. The men jumped deeper into the top-10 standings after three solid blocks of Baker games after starting the final day in 10th place.

Individually, sophomore Christian Caputo finished in 16th place after posting a final score of 2,229 and a total game average of 185.8. The highlight of Caputo's weekend was when he posted a 600 triple in the singles portion of the tournament.

For the women, who placed 14th overall despite a limited roster as there were only allowed to bowl 12 games and had to sit out the Baker game portion because they only had four members on the team. The women's team still nearly defeated two programs, who bowled 21 total games at full strength, compared to the Vikings 12 games.

Individually, freshman Jordan Thomas placed 27th overall with a total score of 1,959 and a 163.3 game average. Thomas finished the singles portion with a triple score of 512.

The men's bowling team will continue their season after the program once again qualified for the ITS Sectional Tournament, which will be held on March 12-14 in Stratford, NJ.
