The Hudson Valley bowling closed out the 2018-19 season with an eighth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament today in Buffalo, NY. 

As a team, the Vikings accumulated a final score of 11,771, which placed them eighth out of 17 NJCAA programs. Hudson Valley finished with a Singles & Doubles score of 5,227 and added 5,008 in the 5-Man portion of the tournament. The Vikings ended the tournament with a Baker score of 1,536. 

Hudson Valley's top doubles team was Gina Patricelli (Troy/Lansingburgh) and Brandon Charette (Cohoes/Cohoes). The duo posted a final score of 1021. Charette also finished with a singles score of 1089, which was second best among the Viking squad. 

Catherine Lynch (Troy/Lansingburgh) posted the Vikings top singles score of 1092 and added a 974 doubles score with partner Christian Caputo (Rotterdam/Schalmont).

Michael Taber (New Baltimore/Coxsackie-Athens) earned the top individual game score for the Vikings as he posted a 221 in game one of the team score portion. 

For the second time in program history, Iowa Central captured the NJCAA Men's Bowling Championship after outlasting Rock Valley (IL) with a total team score of 13,485. The Tritons' only other title came in 2017.

Iowa Central was led by Alec Dudley who captured both the All-Events category and was part of the doubles championship with teammate and brother Ryan Dudley. Alec Dudley also placed third in the singles category. Erie's Michael Costello took home the singles title with a three-game series score of 652.
