The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team has now won 10 of its last 11 games as they closed out the 2021-22 regular season with an 85-66 road win over Fulton-Montgomery on Wednesday evening in Johnstown, NY. The win gives the Vikings an expected first-round bye in the NJCAA Region 3 playoffs.

Leading the way for the Vikings were Trevor GreenKobi Wallace and Jourdan Belcher, who all finished in double-digit scoring. Green led all scorers as he finished with a game-high 27 points on nine made field goals. Green finished a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Wallace did most of his damage in the first half of the game as he scored 10 of his 14 points before the halftime break. Belcher had an even attack as he scored seven points in each half, including 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

The men's basketball team will officially learn its postseason fate on Thursday evening around 9 PM as the seeding committee releases the 2022 NJCAA Region 3 postseason bracket. The Vikings are expected to earn the fourth seed, which will give them a first-round bye and an home match on Tuesday, Feb, 22 in the NJCAA Region 3 quarterfinals round. They will host the winner of the No. 5/No. 12 matchup, which will be announced on Thursday.
