The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball extended its win streak to four straight following the Vikings 78-61 win over the Broome Hornets on Sunday afternoon in the McDonough Sports Complex on campus of Hudson Valley Community College.

The Vikings took a 42-35 lead into the halftime break as they were led by Jourdan Belcher, who posted 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting and 4-of-7 from the free throw line. Belcher added six rebounds, one assist and one steal. Luke Bourgault and Trevor Green each finished with nine points in the opening half. Bourgault added four rebounds and two steals, while Green tallied seven boards and a couple assists.

In the second half, the Vikings put the clamps on the Hornets offense, allowing them to score only eight points in the first 10 minutes of the game, while the Vikings increased their lead with a 21-8 run during that span.

Belcher finished the game with a game-high 17 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes of action.  Green finished with 16 points on 4-of-10 shooting, including 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Kobi Wallace hit six field goals to 14 points and added six rebounds in 22 minutes of play.

The men's program hits the road this Wednesday, January 26 when they travel to take on SUNY Adirondack at 5 p.m. in Queensbury, NY.
