Hudson Valley's men's basketball team (12-2) defeated Columbia-Greene 95-80 on Tuesday afternoon at the McDonough Sports Complex to kick off the 2019 spring semester.

The Vikings jumped out to an early lead over the Twins and continued to extend their lead into double figures for a majority of the game. Hudson Valley led by as much as 18 points in the second half. Columbia-Greene gave a strong effort in the second half, bringing their deficit to five points and trailed 80-75 with 4:23 remaining in the game. 

Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) led the Viking offense with a game-high 31 points and O'Nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) had a strong game with 24 points on 10 made field goals. 

Jordan Adams (Cohoes/Cohoes) provided a spark off of the Vikings bench as he scored 11 points, which included a clutch basket late in the game to help hold off Columbia-Greene's late game run with less than four minutes remaining. 

Hudson Valley returns to action this Thursday, January 10 when they travel to play Clinton. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
