The Vikings got off to a slow start as they entered halftime trailing 37-25. Hudson Valley took advantage of an early run in the second half to cut the Lazers' lead down to 49-41 with 14 minutes remaining.

Onondaga recovered from the Vikings initial rally, but Hudson Valley continued to battle as they cut the lead down to 55-51 with 9:20 remaining in the game.

Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) continued to find the necessary buckets the Vikings needed to keep the game close. Brooks scored on an assist from DeGrasse with 7:20 remaining, bringing the Vikings to within seven points and trailed 61-55. Canty finished the game with a game-high 22 points and added three rebounds and a steal.

Hudson Valley, led by a pair of dunks by O'nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse), cut the lead down to 61-59 with 6:12 remaining. Brooks put the Vikings on his back and led them to the 8-0 run, giving the Vikings the 63-61 lead with 4:45 remaining. O'nandi finished with 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

Coming out of a timeout, Brooks converted an "and-1" three-point play to tie the game at 66-66 with a minute remaining in the game. Onondaga scored again late and Hudson Valley couldn't convert on their final opportunity down the court with 1.8 seconds remaining in the game.

Josiah McCall (Beacon/Beacon) also had a nice night with 14 points, four rebounds and two steals.
