Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball (2-0) had all of their offensive weapons on display in the Vikings 103-78 win against Cayuga on Saturday afternoon in McDonough Sports Complex. 

The Vikings starting guards in Caleb Canty (Hudson/Hudson) and Jordan Gleason (Wynantskill/Watervliet) combined for 60 points as the duo took turns in taking over the game's momentum in fav or of the Vikings. Hudson Valley entered the half with a marginal 43-37 advantage. Gleason led the Vikings with 16 of his 27 points in the first half, including four three-point field goals made. 

Canty took over in the second half and scored 27 of his game-high 33 points and helped the Vikings pull away from the Spartans for their second straight win. Canty finished with 10 field goals made and shot 11-for-12 from the free-throw line for his career scoring day. 

O'nandi Brooks (Brooklyn/George Westinghouse) finished with double-digit scoring for the second straight game as he recorded 18 points, with 12 points coming in the opening half. Victor Potter (Bronx/South Kent) recovered nicely from a rough first game and finished with 10 points with five field-goals made. 

The men's basketball team is back in action this weekend as they travel to play Herkimer on Saturday at 3 p.m.
