Kalik Parker (Ragsdale (NC)/Greensboro, NC) of the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team has earned Region III Player of the Week honors. Parker led the Vikings to a 3-0 week with wins over SUNY Adirondack, Fulton-Montgomery Community College and Columbia-Greene Community College. During that three-game stretch he averaged 18.0 points and 11.0 rebounds, and shot 20-38 from the field. Parker currently ranks sixth in the region in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per game, and ranks seventh in rebounding, pulling down 9.2 rebounds per game.
The men's basketball team is off to a 16-6 start and is currently ranked fifth in Region III. Meanwhile, the women's basketball team is 12-7 and ranked sixth in the coaches poll.
