The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team improved their record to 7-9 with a 94-63 win over Nashua Community College (5-7) at home on Jan. 19. Hudson Valley opened up a 17-point lead at the half and cruised to the 31-point victory. Kalik Parker's (Ragsdale/Jamestown, NC) first five field goals came from behind the arc, and he scored 23 of his 25 points in the first half. Parker also added three blocks. He is currently ranked 15th in the nation in blocks per game, averaging 2.47. Jesse Smith (Bishop Maginn/Albany) had his second consecutive strong outing coming off the bench, adding 13 points.
The Vikings travel to Herkimer County Community College for an afternoon game at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 22.
