Hudson Valley Community College, ranked No. 1 in the latest NJCAA Division III men's basketball poll, rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to defeat SUNY Delhi 86-74 at Delhi Tuesday evening.
For just the second time this season, the Vikings found themselves trailing at halftime, 33-28, after Delhi limited the high-scoring Vikings to their lowest first half total of the season.
Sophomore forward Datwan Hemingway (Albany/CBA) posted his 12th double-double of the season with 27 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore guard Emanuel Mayben (Troy/Troy High School) continued to fill up the stat sheet with 23 points, nine assists, eight steals and six rebounds. Sophomore guard Derick Faragon (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) contributed 17 points and eight boards.
