The Hudson Valley Community College (12-5) men's basketball team raced out to a 30-6 lead over the first 10 minutes and cruised to a 100-63 win over Holyoke Community College on Saturday in Springfield.
Freshman guard Justin Gallo (Brunswick/Lansingburgh High School) led five Hudson Valley players in double-figures scoring with 30 points. He netted four of Hudson Valley's 13 three-point buckets.
Sophomore guard Maurice Lane (Bakersfield, CA/West High School) hit the from beyond the arc en route to 15 points and seven assists. Freshman guard Ryne Luce (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) netted four three-point buckets for 12 points.
Sophomore forwards Zach Bye (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville High School) and Corey Harkins (Saratoga springs/Saratoga Springs High School) each posted double-doubles. Bye had 10 points and 13 rebounds and Harkins finished with 14 points and 12 boards.
