Sophomore forward Zach Bye (Scotia/Scotia-Glenville High School) finished with 12 points. 20 rebounds and four blocks to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (10-4/7-4 Region III) men's basketball team to a 70-61 win over Broome Community College (6-6/5-5 Region III) today in Troy.
Hudson Valley connected on eight three-point baskets in the game, including a basket from 60-feet away by Kevin Timmons (Owings Mills, MD/Owings Mills High School) at the end of the half that gave Hudson Valley a 32-30 lead at the break. Timmons finished the game with nine points.
Sophomore Maurice Lane (Bakersfield, CA/West High School) added 15 points and four steals for the Vikings.
Broome received a game-high 21 points from Wayne Davis (Binghamton).
