Fabian Ferreira led six Corning Community College players in double-figures scoring with 24 points in the Red Barons 92-76 win over Hudson Valley Community College on Sunday in Corning.
Corning controlled all facets of the contest, outshooting the Vikings 45.9 percent to 38.2 percent, holding a 48-41 rebounding advantage, and committing just 14 turnovers while forcing the Vikings into 21 giveaways.
Sophomore forward Kevin Goutos (Altamont/Guilderland High School) led Hudson Valley with 17 points and seven rebounds. Freshman guard Kevin Timmons (Owings Mills, MD/Owings Mills High School) added 14 points and four assists.
