The Mountain Valley Conference and Region III have recognized Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) and Aric Kucel (Gloversville/Gloversville High School), members of the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team, for their play during the 2004-05 season.
Kucel, a sophomore guard, earned Second Team All-Region III and Third Team All-Conference honors. He's averaging 14.3 points and 4.3 assists per game. Kucel has connected on 65 three-point attempts, and is shooting 79.8 percent (99-for-124) from the free throw line.
Hunt, a freshman forward, leads Hudson Valley with 15.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. He also has blocked 87 shots. Hunt earned Second Team All-Conference and Third Team All-Region III accolades.
Hudson Valley (16-13) will face SUNY Cobleskill at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 4 in the quarterfinals of the Region III Tournament in Utica.
