Freshman forward Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots to lead the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team to a 72-63 win at SUNY Cobleskill Tuesday night.
Hudson Valley, which has won at Cobleskill each of the last three years, improves its record to 10-9. The Vikings also avenged an 83-60 home loss to the Tigers on December 2. Cobleskill, which is ranked No. 3 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, falls to 16-2.
Hudson Valley connected on 24 of its 28 free throw attempts in the game. Sophomore guard Aric Kucel (Gloversville/Gloversville High School) was 12-for-14 from the line en route to 17 points. He also had five assists. Freshman forward Ryan Livingston (Bethlehem/La Salle Institute) added 15 points, and sophomore forward Maurice Frye (Middletown/Middletown High School) contributed 13 points and six steals.
Daniel Pierre led the Tigers with 20 points.
