The Hudson Valley Community College (13-11) men's basketball team shot only 30 percent (6-for-20) in the second half and fell to Mohawk Valley Community College 51-45 earlier today in Troy.
Hudson Valley held a 28-23 lead entering the break but was unable to get in an offensive rhythm in the second half. The Vikings made only one of 15 shots from beyond the arc after halftime.
Sophomore guard Markael Brace (Albany/Albany High School) had 15 points to lead Hudson Valley. Freshman center Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) had five points and 10 rebounds.
Sophomore guard Todel Sykes (Brooklyn/New Utrecht) led Mohawk Valley (17-10) with 18 points.
Hudson Valley will host Columbia-Greene Community College on Monday, February 17 at 7 p.m.
