The Hudson Valley Community College football team (3-3) went on the road to win their second straight game after defeating the New Jersey Warriors 35-7 on Saturday afternoon at St. Vianney High School in Holmdel, N.J.

The Vikings jumped out an early 6-0 lead on a 2-yard touchdown run by last week's NJCAA Region 3 Player of the Week, Desi Floyd. Floyd's touchdown run was set up by a 50-yard catch and run by receiver Melvin Reid. 

In the second quarter, Reid finally found his way into the end zone on a 21-yard pass from quarterback Alex Dembroski. Reid's touchdown capped a 7-play, 67-yards drive in 3:48. Nearly seven minutes later, the Vikings scored again and capped a scoring drive with 11 plays for 66 yards on a Dembroski touchdown pass to Daniel Manneh. Hudson Valley entered halftime leading 20-0. 

Reid and Kyle Daly each recorded 77 receiving yards and combined for five receptions. Reid averaged 25.7 yards per catch and Daly averaged 38.5 yards per reception. 

Coming out of the break, the Vikings scored again with 5:12 remaining in the third quarter after Floyd crossed the goal line on a 4-yard run through the left gap and extended the Vikings lead 28-0. Reid scored the two-point conversion following a botched extra point attempt. 

Floyd finished the game with 138 rushing yards on 21 carries, which included a 20-yard run, the longest on the day. In the last two games, Floyd had 388 rushing yards and four touchdowns for the Vikings offense.

The Vikings capped their second 10-plus play scoring drive to kick off the fourth quarter. Dembroski found Manneh for the second time of the game on a 21-yard touchdown pass. Hudson Valley pushed their lead to 35-0. 

Dembroski finished the game with 204 passing yards, which includes a 50-ayrd pass to Reid in the opening quarter. Dembroski tossed three touchdown passes and did not turn the ball over as he finished with zero interceptions. 

The New Jersey Warriors put points on the board on a 20-yard touchdown pass with 10:18 remaining. 

Jeremy Clayton recorded two catches for six yards and added three successful extra-points following three of the Vikings touchdowns. Clayton also assisted in pushing the Warriors back into their zone with two punts landing inside the 20-yard line.
