Hudson Valley's baseball team made it all the way to Little Falls for the Region III Tournament at the end of the 2011 season, finishing the season with a 28-16-1 overall record and capturing the Mountain Valley Conference for the second time in four years under Coach Dave Hennessey. The Vikings had winning streaks of 13 and 10 games throughout the season, showing their ability to dominate the conference.
Jake DiPietro (Kingston/Kingston) earned Second-Team All-Region honors and Tyler Young (Shaker/Latham) earned All-Conference honors. Bryan Lajeunesse (Albany Academy/Watervliet) was the team's MVP, finishing the regular season with a perfect 6-0 record and a 1.81 ERA. Lajeunesse also earned First-Team All-Region and All-Conference honors, and finished second in Conference Player of the Year voting.
