The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team (11-6) went 3-1 in a two-day span that saw the team play four games.
On Saturday, the Vikings went on the road to face Mohawk Valley Community College, dropping the first game 2-0 before rebounding with a dominating 12-0 victory. The team returned home Sunday afternoon with two lopsided victories over Corning Community College. The first game was a 10-0 shutout victory, while the Vikings walked away with a 17-3 victory in the second game.
On the season, the Vikings are led by freshmen sensations Tyler Rose (Columbia HS/Rensselaer) who is batting .423 and Kyle O'Brey (Schenectady HS/Schenectady) who is averaging .382 on the season. Troy native Aaron Tilley (Troy HS/Troy) anchors a solid pitching squad with a 0.90 ERA in 20 innings pitched.
The team is back in action Tuesday when they host Ulster Community College at 4 p.m.
