The Hudson Valley Community College baseball team rallied for seven runs in the sixth inning, and defeated RPI JV 13-6 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium earlier today.
Sophomore Paul Terry (Waterford/Catholic Central High School) provided the big stick for Hudson Valley (11-5). He entered the game in the fourth inning and finished with three hits, including a double, and two RBI. Sophomore Bill Kelts (Waterford/Christian Brothers Academy) added two hits and three RBI, including a two-run triple in the sixth inning.
Freshman Jesse Hendriksen (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury High School) picked up the win on the mound for the Vikings. He pitched one inning, allowed one unearned run, and struck out two batters.
Sophomore Brendan Hall (Watertown/Watertown High School) had three hits, including a pair of doubles to pace RPI JV (1-2).
The game, which was played in windy conditions, consisted of 12 errors, 13 walks, eight wild pitches and four batters hit by pitches.
