Keith Thomas CAT

Keith Thomas became Hudson Valley’s certified athletic trainer during the 2004-05 school year.

Thomas is responsible for the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries for more than 300 student-athletes on Hudson Valley’s 20 intercollegiate teams.

Keith has played an integral role in leading the Hudson Valley department of athletics and Region 3 through the global COVID-19 pandemic as a member of the Region 3 Health and Safety committee. Thomas was awarded the 2020-21 NJCAA Region 3 Athletic Trainer of the Year.

Thomas came to Hudson Valley from Union College, where he had been an assistant athletic trainer since 2004. Prior to working at Union, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at The University at Albany for two years and the athletic trainer at LaSalle Institute for four years.

Thomas received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Alfred University in 1998 and a master’s degree in curriculum development and instructional technology from UAlbany in 2004.

He lives in Malta with his wife, Tara.
