Several Hudson Valley Community College student-athletes had outstanding individual performances last week and three individuals have been recognized by the NJCAA and Region 3 as a player of the week in their respective sports.

NJCAA DIII Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week: Brooks Robson (Track & Field)

It had been three weeks since Brooks Robson had competed, so he was ready for RPI's Friday Night Under the Lights. He responded with the farthest outdoor jumps of the year among NJCAA Division III athletes – and the farthest efforts of his career. Robson was second to the hosts' Owen Haas in the long jump with a wind-aided 6.97m (22-10½), then came back to win the triple jump with a PR 14.11m (46-3½) as any of his six attempts would have given him victory.

Robson was also named the NJCAA Region 3 Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week and the USTFCCCA NJCAA DIII Athlete of the week following his record-breaking performances.

NJCAA Region 3 Players of the Week: Andrew Wilson (Baseball)

Wilson improved to 4-0 on the year and lower his ERA to 1.44 following a complete game shutout win over Cayuga last week. He tossed seven innings and allowed just four hits with one walk while recording a career-high 16 strikeouts.

NJCAA Region 3 Players of the Week: Keely Legnard (Women's Tennis)

Legnard had a strong start to the season as she won both of her singles matches in straight sets as the Vikings No. 1 seed. She won her first match 6-3, 6-2 against RCSJ and won her second match 6-2, 6-3 vs Camden.
