Hudson Valley Community College student-athletes were recently recognized as NJCAA Region 3 players of the week in their respective sports.

Daniel Goldston (Men's Bowling): Competing at the final MVC match of the season, Goldston had a great second game as he collected nine straight strikes and finished the game with a team-best 278 to help guide the Vikings to another conference title. Daniel finished the set with a team-best 716 series.

Tyrese Pratt (Men's Track and Field): Pratt earned two top-10 finishes at the Middlebury Indoor Meet over the weekend.  He placed third overall in the long jump with a distance of 6.16m (20'2.5") and ninth overall in the high jump with a jump of 1.75m (5' 8.75").

Iamies Hassan (Women's Track and Field): Hassan placed 20th overall in the women's shot put event at the Middlebury Indoor Meet this week with a final throw of 9.17m (30' 1").

Last week, Keyaton Parks (Men's Basketball) was also recognized as the men's basketball player of the week as he continued to show that he is one of the best post players in the Region. He averaged 14 points and 21 rebounds and added four-blocks during the week of January 29-February 4.
