The Hudson Valley Community College women's track and field program competed in the Wesleyan Invitational in Middletown, Conn. on Saturday afternoon.
The early semester start had two individuals compete for the women's program, sophomore distance runner, Ellicia Swedish and two-sport freshman, Sanbegoure Meda.
Meda placed ninth overall in the Women's 60m dash with a time of 8.90 seconds and placed 12th overall in the Women's 200m dash as she crossed the finish line with an official time of 30.45. Meda also participated in the Women's Long Jump event and placed ninth overall with a time of 4.13m.
Swedish participated in the Women's Mile and placed 14th overall with an official time of 7:15.08.
The track and field program will get back to work as they prepare to participate in the West Point Tune-Up on Saturday, February 18 in West Point, NY.
