Four Named to Women's Tennis All-Region/Conference Team

Four women's tennis student-athletes were named to the 2024 NJCAA Region 3 All-Region team, as announced by the Region 3 women's tennis committee.
Keely Legnard played all season as the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, garnered All-Region accolades in both flights. Legnard did not lose a match at No. 1 singles, until the final NJCAA championship match in Chattanooga, TN. Legnard finished the year with an 8-1 record at No. 1 singles.
Mia Manera also finished the season strong as she won the Region 3 title at No. 2 singles after she defeated Mohawk Valley's Marga Villahermosa 6-4, 6-3. Legnard and Manera also claimed the Region 3 No. 1 doubles championship, defeated Vo and Villahermosa 8-5. The win gave Manera All-Region recognition.
Aubrie Murphy won the No. 3 singles title by defeating Mohawk Valley's Cailynn Patterson 6-1, 6-1 and she teamed with Zara Cole to claim the No. 2 doubles title by the score of 8-2. Murphy and Cole were named to the All-Region team at No. 2 doubles and Murphy added All-Region honors at the No. 3 singles flight.
Head coach Bruce Perry was recognized for his ability to turnaround the Vikings women's tennis program as Hudson Valley claimed the program's first NJCAA Region 3 championship since 1998. In doing so, Coach Perry was named the NJCAA Region 3 Coach of the Year and the Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.
All four individuals were also recognized as part of the 2024 Mountain Valley All-Conference team.
