Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer (10-3) defeated Jefferson 11-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
The Vikings kicked off the first half with their first goal 15 seconds into the game. Brooke Clough recorded the assist as she found Morgan Catlin for the quick goal. Catlin would score another two goals for her first career hat trick and her sixth goal in the last three games for Hudson Valley.
Grace Cusack also scored multiple goals for Hudson Valley and has extended her team lead with 21 goals this year. Sydney Gile recorded two goals as well in the Vikings shutout win and recorded an assist on Erica Quick's first career goal in the first half of the game.
The Vikings close out the 2019 regular season at home on Saturday, Oct. 26 as they welcome Genesee to the Outdoor Athletic Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. The match up has strong postseason seeding implications, as the winning team will have a great opportunity to host a sub-regional match on Thursday, Oct. 31.
