Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer (2-0) continued their season with a 7-0 win against SUNY Adirondack. The Vikings had a rough beginning, ending the first half 1-0, but they quickly regrouped and ended the game with the seven-goal victory

Hudson Valley got on the board early as Caitlin Houghton dribbled up to the corner of the box and passed to Grace Cusack in the middle of the box. Cusack gathered the pass and send the shot to the back of the net, scoring the first goal of the game at the 44:15-minute mark.

Cusack continued her streak following the break, scoring another goal 4:01 minutes into the second half. Cusack trapped a ball that deflected off of Adirondack's defense and took a shot into the top left of the net for the score.

Shortly after, Rebecca Fankhanel received a pass in the box from Brooke Clough and tapped the ball into the bottom right corner of the goal, making the Vikings 3-0 with 38 minutes remaining in the game.

Juliette Baker scored her second goal in as many games when she dribbled the ball up the field and ripped the ball into the upper right corner of the goal, extending the Vikings lead to 4-0.

Fankhanel scored her second goal of the game, putting the Vikings in the lead 5-0. Baker passed the ball to Fankhanel, who dribbled around a defender and shot the ball into the back of the net.

Cusack completed a hat trick at the 33-minute mark after she received a pass from Cassie Patrick and slotted it into the lower left corner of the goal.

Later, Fankhanel secured her own hat trick with about 10 minutes remaining in the game. Fankhanel received a square pass from Sydney Gile, she dribbled and crossed the ball into the lower right corner of the net, scoring the final goal of the game.

Bailey Dunn buckled down once again, saving all 2 shots against the Vikings, leaving SUNY Adirondack with no goals. Dunn now has 10 career shutout victories in her stellar two-year career at Hudson Valley.
