The Hudson Valley women's basketball team dropped their fourth straight game after they were defeated 66-60 on the road at SUNY Broome on Sunday afternoon in Binghamton, NY. 

Following a competitive first half, the Vikings trailed the Hornets 30-28 at the break. After three quarters, the Vikings and Broome were neck-to-neck heading into the decisive fourth quarter. In the final quarter, Broome outscored Hudson Valley 17-13 in the final quarter to secure the win. 

Leading the way offensively for the Vikings was freshman guard Emily Erickson, who hit five three-point field goals and finished with a team-best 19 points. Grace VanRoy had a big second half as she scored 14 of her team-high 19 points. VanRoy connected on nine of her 11 free throw attempts, including five straight in the third quarter. 

Broome was led by Miya Ritchie, who posted a game-high 23 points on six field goals. Vivian Ladd also recorded 18 points for the Hornets, which included four straight clutch free throws at the end of the game to seal the win for Broome. 

The Vikings travel to face Adirondack on Wednesday as they look to end their four-game losing skid. Hudson Valley defeated Adirondack 92-48 in their first meeting this season on Nov. 13 at the McDonough Sports Complex on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College.
